Will it never end???

Well, as many of you don't know... I changed doctors and I am now being seen at Brian's hospital and I went for my first appointment on Thursday the 24th (incidentally it was World TB Day!! lol!). Well, it went pretty good. She is concerned about the chest heaviness, the exercise intolerance, the cough, and the nagging headaches.  So, the first step was fasting blood work... which, I think you get more hungry when you are told you can't eat and by the time the blood draw was done and I actually ate I had fasted for around 15 hours. YUCK! In addition to the blood work, I was put back on nasal steroids & now added allergy meds (Zyrtec).

So, now it has been a few days and in my opinion the nasal steroids continue to do nothing and the Zyrtec only makes me exhausted! I asked my dear hubby to look at my blood work and give me a heads up before my impending doctor's appointment on April 8th. Not all the tests are back, but some certainly were... so, my hemoglobin (to diagnose anemia) was 12.5 to be anemic it must be less then 12.0 however the 12.5 does place me in the mild anemic category, but no treatment recommended. The other blood test was my cholesterol, which was tested since high cholesterol runs in my family. Well, it was through the roof!! In my family it is common place that diet & exercise doesn't work, but Brian keeps telling me I could be different... if I am not different, this means a Cholesterol pill at the young age of 25 probably for the rest of my being. I will give the diet my full attention and try, but as for the exercise that will be limited due to chest pain and being out of breath. Vitamin D is not back and not 100% of the thyroid test, so we will have to wait and see what happens.

The most unfortunate part of this was that the day after (technically the day of it was 1AM when Brian came home) my Milka Hot Chocolate for my Tassimo came.... So, I just finished a cup! HA HA HA!! I am not supposed to know the results of my blood tests yet anyway right? Oh well, two more weeks of eating the "bad stuff" and then I will go on the Low Cholesterol diet... YUCK!

Well, I guess if it isn't one thing... it's another. I just hope this doctor can figure things out for me.
