Another day... another appointment

I am starting to feel like I live at this doctor's office. In the past two weeks I have been here 4 times! I should get a frequent visitor card or something!! Like every 10th visit I get a stuffed animal or something! 

So, today's objective... chest x-ray, urine test, and the dreaded antibiotic plan...

So, my doctor tells me that my chest x-ray was negative. This is amazing!! Wonderful news telling me that I am not infecting others, I will not cough up blood any time soon, and my chances of dieing from this anytime soon have dropped! YEAH!!

Next, was the urine test. He tells me that TB is a slow growing organism and that the results would take about 6 weeks. Then came the question... do I want to start antibiotics now or do I want to wait. I asked him, what was the difference in what he would do as treatment? He said nothing... but it is your choice as to whether or not I wanted to wait. I said, I was under the assumption that I would be getting them today... so lets go big or go home!! Get on with it!

My antibiotics were prescribed... 4 antibiotics and 1 B6. To be taken for 2 months (on top of my vitamins and birth control). The last 4 months would be 2 antibiotics and 1 B6 still on top of everything else. The pharmacy would not have these all in stock, so I will not get them until Saturday afternoon. No idea how many pills I am looking at yet, but I will be getting an old lady pill box and pill slicer (I know one of my pills is 1.5 a day).
