So... once tomorrow is over I will have taken 7 days of my pills. It was a rough start, but thanks to a med check and some encouragement from my doctor things are going MUCH better!! So, day one was fine... I took the pills and went about my daily life. Day two I started feeling nauseous and I had a horrible headache all day... I wasn't eating much maybe a small breakfast and 1" of my 6" sub sandwich. Day three I felt like I was in hell. I woke up at 2AM nauseous, but my headache was gone... went back to sleep... woke up at 4AM nausea was still there and here came the migraine! YUCK!! That resulted in me later vomiting 3 times within a 4 hour window and consuming nothing except my pills, one slice of apple, and some gatorade until 9PM that night. My poor and very sweet husband consoled me after his overnight shift as I cried and was rocking back and forth on the bed. I commend him so much on being so strong for me as I became a total wreck and wanted nothing more then to go home and curl in a small little ball. Since then the nausea comes and goes, but nothing like my third day. I had a med check with my doctor yesterday (Day 5 of the treatment) and discussed my options. I chose to continue on with the regiment I was on (especially once all those silly food limitations were cut off my list of worries) and told him I would be back for our next appointment (roughly two weeks) and we can see how things are going. I knew all of this wasn't going to be easy and I feel that every day is a learning process of what my body, mind, and spirit can handle.
So far... so good!!
